Manage and coordinate Internal Sales Products Teams, ensuring that they have the training and tools to generate quotations and give technical advice to customers. Ensure that the internal sales teams are customer focused effective and pro-active in their approach to servicing our customers.

  • Supervise and prepare technical proposals and quotations in-line with company procedures and industry best practice.
  • Effectively manage contact with customers, external sales and agents to gather market intelligence so as to prioritise quotations and target competition.
  • Meet and exceed specific Key Performance indicators set by the Sales Director E.g. achieving or exceeding the required bid date and increasing order intake/hit rates.
  • Provide high-quality quotations delivered to the customer requirements.
  • Focus on key bids for chosen key customers with input from external sales.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, other departments and management.
  • Manage the team resources to ensure the work is accurate and meets agreed deadlines.
  • Effective telephone contact with customers and external sales is demonstrated by all the team. Members ensuring client feedback is obtained regularly.
  • Managing team productivity through monitoring and coaching.
  • Supervise, motivate and provide leadership to the team.
  • Provide consultancy, guidance and support to all team members.
  • Be committed to continual process review and improvement, through the ability to innovate and collaborate with the team's members and the Sales Director.
  • Provide relevant training for both new and existing staff to ensure working is in line with the departments and company's compliance policies and requirements.
  • Identifying areas of underperformance and take or recommend corrective action in conjunction with the Sales Director.
  • Support the Sales Director in all operational strategies for the department.


  • HNC/HND level or equivalent or have completed an indentured apprenticeship or a Degree.
  • Proven track record in the valve industry across multiple markets.
  • Experience in a Team Leader role within a sales office environment, preferred but not essential.
  • IT literate with competent knowledge of Microsoft Office, namely Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
