We are currently working alongside an established multimillion pound award winning engineering firm, who due to sustained growth are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Engineer with experience within the water and wastewater treatment industry.

To manage a number of multi discipline projects. Projects can range from £5k ex works supply only to multi million pound turnkey projects.


  • Ensure projects meet customer specifications
  • Define project scope of works
  • Interpreting client requirements
  • Conduct site surveys when required
  • Develop project plan, timescales and associated project documentation
  • Issue and administrate contractual documentation
  • Ensure that detailed manufacturing packages are produced for projects and parts are purchased
  • Identify resources to deliver projects
  • Communicate with other department managers to secure resources
  • Communicate project scope and expectations to team members
  • Ensure all relevant H&S and relevant legal requirements are observed
  • Ensure detailed installation scope of works are issued and discussed for each project (subject to installation requirements)
  • Build and develop business relationships with clients
  • Communicate with clients
  • Develop and deliver weekly progress reports
  • Identify and resolve issues that may arise during project life cycle
  • Track and monitor project milestones
  • Monitor project budget and identify additional chargeable costs
  • Checking and approving drawings
  • Provide leadership, motivation and supervision for the project team members


  • Background in the water treatment industry, experience working on water treatment sites
  • Project Management qualification and experience
  • Experience/ knowledge of Auto Cad 3D
  • A good understanding of mechanical process equipment
  • Knowledge of NEC3 / 4 Form Contract


  • Mechanical HNC or equivalent
  • Planning and organization skills
  • Ability to prioritise workloads effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent team player
  • Mechanical experience
  • Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook experience
  • Experienced Microsoft MS Project / Prima Vera or equivalent
  • Full Clean Driving License/ willing to travel/ overnight if required.
