We have a fantastic opportunity, for a Sales Order Processor to join a fantastic company in Dewsbury.

Role Details

  • Process all customer orders and quotes received using an internal sales order processing system using the defined company procedures and timelines given.
  • Send out customer order and quote confirmations:-respond to all queries within 1 hour, process quotations within 24 hours, process orders within 24 hours, and provide confirmation within 48 hours, resolve all product and repair issues within 14 days.
  • Advise customers on stock, pricing, availability as required.
  • Monitor the orders on the system to keep back orders to a minimum thus avoiding any extra cost to the company.
  • Place orders for any additional stock for any customer orders, which are not fulfilled by the stock ordering that is undertaken by the Warehouse Manager.
  • Liaise with the Transport Department on any delivery issues, stock, as and when required.
  • Assist the Regional Sales Managers with sample requests to ensure that stock is available to them.
  • Coordinate any claims received using defined procedures to ensure the claims are dealt with within 5 working days and follow up any outstanding claims where a longer processing period is required. Advise customers of the status of their claims at all times.
  • Effectively answer incoming telephone calls and distribute or assist as necessary.
  • General office duties including filing, franking machine, post and ad-hoc tasks given by the Internal Customer Service Manager.
  • On the job training will be provided to the correct candidate.
  • Experience of working in a similar role would be advantageous.


  • Previous experience is essential in a Sales environment and the ability to provide excellent Customer Service.
  • To be able to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
  • To be positive and have a can-do attitude.

Work Hours
