My client is a leading global organisation with a distribution site in Elland. They are currently recruiting for an administrator to join their Shipping Office.

They are looking for an enthusiastic person with an administration background and confident I.T skills, who is looking to progress into the role of shipping administrator, over a training period.

Full training will be given on the role and the Sage 1000 system.

Duties

• Working in a close-knit, friendly team
• Dealing with all shipping department filling
• Entering all transport invoices onto a Sage 1000 computer system
• Dealing with Shipping arrangements
• Managing the import process
• Completing all shipping, import and export documentation to a high standard
• Prepare freight quotations
• Negotiate with freight suppliers to ensure competitive rates
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure goods are delivered to the customer’s satisfaction
• Other general administration duties as required.

Experience

• some administration experience in an office environment

Essentials
