My client is a Reputable, Well Established Project Management Company that work within Retail, Leisure, Hospitality, Education and Commercial Sectors.

They are currently looking to expand their team and are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

Role Details

  • Pre-Contract / Tendering (to be read in-conjunction with the procurement section):
  • Procurement
  • Sub-Contractor Management:
  • Financial Monitoring / Forecasting / Account Management
  • Contract

Duties

  • You will work with and assist all members of the project team as required.
  • Be punctual for work.
  • Prioritise workload and effectively manage your time
  • Manage and support the development of subordinates via a self-developed PDR process
  • Train subordinates
  • Oversee other projects in addition to your primary project.
  • Be self-motivated
  • Attend project meetings and take notes / minutes as the project lead surveyor.
  • Command good skills with Microsoft Office Suite of programmes to ensure you can carry out your role efficiently.
  • Learn how to effectively and efficiently use Cost X measurement software within 3 months of your employment commencement.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive technical understanding all construction details.
  • Be prepared to actively seek Continuing Professional Development free courses and continue to maintain an interest in current industry practice particularly matters which may impact the role that you are employed for.
  • Be prepared to work and stay away from home should it be desirable for efficient working.
  • Understand the Health & Safety Policy and how it impacts on the role.

Essentials

  • Maintain a Full UK Driving Licence
  • Have 6 years minimum post degree experience
