Our client is looking for the right individual to join their design team as a Tekla Structures Design Draughtsman.

Working for part of a group which provides complete engineering solutions to a long list of blue chip clients. Services provided include site installations and maintenance. Their fabrication workshop covers all aspects of heavy fabrication, sheet metal work and structural steel. And also design, manufacture and installation of dosing equipment for the chemical, paper and water treatment industries.

The company offer a design/ build service to cover projects such as pressure vessel manufacture and pipework applications and associated access structural steelwork.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to manage their own workload, attend project meetings, conduct site surveys and liaising with clients.

Role Details

• To design and produce fabrication packages for a variety of solutions i.e. platforms, pipework and vessel supports, access stairways and ladders
• Precise and readable technical drawings for projects, produce 3D concept drawings and liaise with clients to ensure they meet their requirements.
• Good organisational skills, attention to detail and communication skills are essential.
• A full driving licence is essential as the role involves regular site visits.
• Survey experience would be an advantage.
• The wide variety of work carried out within the company requires the right candidate to design a varied range of general steelwork up to one off skids and full scale plant models.
• This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to manage their own workload, attend project meetings, conduct site surveys and liaising with clients.

Experience

• AutoCad experience is desirable but not essential.

Essentials

• Structural steel work industry standards and codes
• Previous experience of Tekla Structures
