We are looking for a CNC Wood Machine Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment, producing high quality timber and joinery products.
The role will involve operating CNC woodworking machinery to manufacture components accurately and efficiently to the required specifications.
Duties will include:
• Setting and operating CNC woodworking machinery
• Loading and unloading timber, panels and other materials
• Reading and working from drawings, cutting lists and job specifications
• Selecting and loading the correct CNC programmes
• Checking dimensions and ensuring finished components meet quality standards
• Carrying out basic machine adjustments and tool changes where required
• Identifying and reporting any machine or quality issues
• Supporting other areas of production when required
• Keeping the machine and surrounding work area clean and tidy
• Following all health and safety procedures
Previous experience operating CNC woodworking machinery would be preferred, particularly within a joinery, furniture, doors, kitchens or other timber manufacturing environment.
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and has good attention to detail. The successful candidate should also be flexible and happy to support other areas of the factory when CNC work is quieter.
