An exciting opportunity has arisen with my client, a well-established national timber manufacturer, for a skilled Edgebander Setter Operator to join their dedicated team.
The Role:
You will be responsible for setting and operating edgebanding machinery to apply high-quality edging to timber components, in line with precise specifications. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will ensure production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and operating edgebander machines for timber production
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job specifications
- Carrying out quality checks on completed items to ensure high standards
- Conducting routine maintenance on machinery for safe and efficient operation
- Working to production schedules whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Ensuring the working environment remains clean and safe at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Proven experience as an Edgebander Setter Operator or similar wood machining role
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to delivering quality finishes
- A reliable and honest approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A proactive attitude and willingness to maintain high standards consistently
