We are currently recruiting for a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands on role involving planned and reactive maintenance across a wide range of machinery and equipment on site.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience within a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or Maintenance Technician role
- Strong mechanical maintenance and fault finding skills
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic IT skills
Advantageous but not essential:
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Lathe and milling machine experience
- 18th Edition electrical qualification
- CAD or SolidWorks experience
- Experience with automation or robotics
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across the site
- Responding to breakdowns and fault finding on machinery and equipment
- Completing mechanical repairs and rebuilds
- Welding and fabrication work when required
- Assisting with machinery and equipment installations
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop machinery safely
- Supporting maintenance records and documentation using the company maintenance system
- Working closely with production and other departments across the business
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects
- Flexibility to work overtime when required
