Quality Inspector – Engineering

We are recruiting on behalf of our engineering client for an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team in Slaithwaite. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can work independently and maintain high quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Detailed inspection of components including first off, sample and final inspections
- Goods inward inspection of all outwork
- Checking raw materials against purchase orders
- Ensuring all gauges and measuring equipment are calibrated and maintained
- Recording defects and non-conformities and reporting to the relevant department
- Checking material certification against quality system requirements
- Identifying and reporting quality trends
- Effective communication at all levels
- Covering for other inspectors when required
- Carrying out in house training when needed
Key requirements:
- Previous Quality Inspection experience within engineering preferred
- Good understanding of calibrated measuring equipment
- Able to work independently and use own initiative
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Ideally based locally to Slaithwaite
