Our client, an innovative and growing company in the biotechnology sector based in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join their Synthetic Biology team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge work focused on engineering microbial platforms for sustainable production, within a collaborative and fast-paced research environment.
Key responsibilities include
Design and execution of laboratory experiments for genetic construct development
Application of molecular biology techniques such as PCR, cloning, transformation and DNA sequencing
Analysis of experimental data, documentation of findings and contribution to internal reports
Collaboration with teams including metabolic engineering and data science
Ensuring laboratory compliance with safety protocols and quality standards
Candidate profile
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biotechnology, molecular biology or a related field
Hands-on experience with synthetic biology tools and workflows
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication abilities
Industry experience is desirable but not essential
