THE ROLE
As a Stock Controller, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the manufacturing operation by maintaining accurate stock levels and ensuring materials are available when needed. Working closely with the warehouse, production and logistics teams, you’ll be responsible for monitoring inventory, coordinating stock movements and maintaining accurate records, helping to ensure production runs efficiently and customer orders are delivered on time.

ESSENTIAL TO APPLY
- Previous experience within a stock control, warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (refresher training can be provided if required).
- Good numerical skills and confidence using computer systems to maintain accurate stock records.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
- Confident communicating and working with colleagues across warehouse, logistics and production teams.
- A proactive, reliable and self motivated approach to work.
- A good understanding of Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Comfortable working within a fast paced manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently whilst also contributing as part of a team.

DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
- Experience using ERP or warehouse management systems, such as Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) experience or licence.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement or 5S principles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock and inventory levels to support production requirements.
- Carry out regular stock checks, cycle counts and investigate any stock discrepancies.
- Receive, store and organise materials, ensuring stock is located safely and accurately.
- Coordinate stock movements between warehouse, stores and production areas.
- Ensure customer packaging, labelling and storage requirements are met at all times.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare stock reports when required.
- Lead and support the Materials Handling team, ensuring materials are supplied to production efficiently and safely.
- Work closely with warehouse, logistics and production teams to ensure the smooth flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, Health and Safety, and safe working practices across all warehouse and stores areas.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to an organised, efficient and productive working environment.
